Suspicious package found at Toronto’s Union Station, 1 in custody: police – Toronto

One person is in police custody after a package that police believe is suspicious was found at Toronto’s Union Station.

Toronto police said they were called to Union Station just after 2:30 p.m. for reports a suspicious package had been found.

The area around was kept clear, police said, noting one person was in custody.

Specialists from the force’s emergency disposal unit were sent to the scene and arrived after 3 p.m.

Police said the TTC was not affected by its operations. Front Street was closed to eastbound traffic at York Street.
